Shumei India ✖︎ Gully Classes Foundation

We collaborated with Gully Classes Foundation to organize an origami workshop for children in India, which was held on June 29th.

It was a trial session to experience and enjoy traditional Japanese art of paper folding.

We are grateful that the children loved the art and appreciated the concept of beauty.

We are looking forward to seeing you next time.

Beach cleanup

Clean-up Drive at Versova beach was held on May 26th.

A member of Shumei India participated in volunteering for cleanup activities hosted by Gully Classes Foundation.

We would like to continue to collaborate with them and gladly work together.

“Natural farming and Sprituality”

We held the Monthly Sampai on April 21st.

This time, Mr. Anand gave us a wonderful lecture about “Natural farming and Sprituality”. He shared valuable knowledge researched through his long journey in sustainable farming.

Also, he peformed Nakshatra Havan, a ritual of purifying of the body and atmosphere by fire, related with the philosophy of natural farming.

We learned a lot from him and happily had a peaceful time.

Travel to Nepal and India

From March 12th to 18th, 6 Japanese members were traveling to India as part of Shumei South Asian tour.

They were so impressed and immersed to deep culture of India. And they really appreciated that they were able to learn and experience so much on this trip through the supports of Indian friends.

Thank you so much!
